It’s sad to see summer go, but luckily you have the fall crew season to take its place!

Interested in joining the team?  Here’s the information on practice times, regattas, and the team.

WWCrew Information

Here’s some information for the first day:

What to wear and bring to practice
Practice will be a mix of exercises on land, conditioning including running, instruction on the rowing machine, and, of course, going out on the water in a boat.  You will need comfortable workout clothing, including running shoes, everyday.  When you are in the boat, you need close fitting shorts (spandex) because loose clothing will get caught in the moving seat.  The weather is comfortable now, but when it turns colder, you will need to dress in layers, in order to stay warm before and after working out.  Non-cotton clothing keeps you warm even if wet.  You wear socks in the boat, but not shoes.  Flip-flops are convenient for quickly getting in and out of the boat.
You should bring a reusable water bottle (label it!).  Please do not bring disposable water bottles to practice.  You may also want sunscreen, and possibly bug spray.
Boys Novice Special Information
Our boys novice coach, Milos Drljic, is unexpectedly away until Sept 4.  We are pleased to announce that Katie Lane will be coaching in his place until that time.  Katie is currently the head coach at Wentworth and has completed the year-long coaching course, Institute for Rowing Leadership, at CRI.  She has also coached juniors at CRI.  She rowed and coxed through her college years, and we are excited to have her bring her knowledge and enthusiasm to the novice program.
Website
Practice times and calendar information are posted on our website, wwcrew.org.  Calendar information can be found under “Calendar” (mouse over the day and more information appears) and “Races/race schedule.”  Other information will also be posted here as the season goes on.

Carpools:  The roster will be distributed for the purpose of setting up carpools.
