Alumni News from 2011 HOCR

Wayland-Weston Crew alumna Marissa Reichel–click for story is in the news, following in the footsteps of alumnus

Will Newell WWC ’07, Harvard ’11 (served as captain of Men’s Lightweight Crew) rowed in the HOCR in the USA’s championship lightweight eight.

Alex Newell (Will’s brother) rowed in second-place Harvard’s lightweight eight.

Liz Martin, David and Mike Paresky – all WWC alum rowed for Harvard

Tyler Sheffels ’08 rowed in the Championship Eights event for Brown University. The Brown boat placed fifth, behind Harvard, the US national team, Washington, and the German national team.

Former coach Tom Bohrer’s first varsity eight from BU finished seventh.

Kevan Zadeh rowed for Cornell University, finishing eighth.

Kristi Wagner ’11 rowed in the Championship Eights event for Yale University and placed fourth.

Catherine Chappell ‘11 rowed in the Club Eights event for Northeastern and placed seventh.

Claire Barkin ‘10 rowed in the Club Eights event for Trinity and placed sixth.

Rachel Regent ’11 coxed the Club Eights event for BU and placed tenth.

Sarah Keane ’11 coxed the Club Fours event for Trinity and placed sixteenth.

Alexandra Hill ’10 rowed in the Collegiate Eights event for Bates and placed second.

Jillian Zieff ’10 rowed in the Collegiate Eights event for Trinity and placed ninth.
