2017 Crash-Bs Report

We had a great showing this year, and even though the weather was horrific, the racing was amazing.
Crash B’s is the WORLD INDOOR ROWING CHAMPIONSHIP.   We witnessed top athletes from around the world breaking their own person bests and setting world records.  We also saw our own athletes breaking new person best.
The conditions were not the greatest at Boston University’s Agganis Arena, the air was dry and it was hard to find an open erg to warm up on, but it never bothered our athletes.
In the Junior Women’s Lightweight Category, Kyra Patterson crushed erg # 37 with a person best of 7:39.6,  rounding out the 10 with a ninth place overall
On lucky erg # 37, only a couple races after Kyra, Max Marchiony raced in the Junior Men’s Lightweight, and pulled his personal best of a 6:37.0  almost squeaking in a top ten finish with an 11th out 190.  Jack Spector coming off an awesome wrestling season, pulled a 6:42.5 coming in 25th followed by Drew Macklin with a 6:49.2 coming in 40th, Michael Dremov, with a personal best,  rowed a 7:05.4 placing 48th  and Vadim Trubetskoy rounding out the Light Weight field with a 7:23.9, also a personal best.
In the Junior Men’s Open was our very own Will Paquin coming in 52nd with a great time of  6:44.2
What an awesome day!!!!!
