Sophie Gavell and members of the crew have decided to put their rowing talents to work for Haiti–here’s what they are planning:

To help alleviate the damage of the earthquakes in Haiti, we will be hosting an erging fundraiser to raise money to send to Haiti. We will be holding this erging fundraiser on Saturday February 27, 2010, at the Trinitarian Church in Wayland Center. The erging will begin at 2:00 pm but we ask that all rowers please show up at 1:30. Please understand that this is not an erg test, but we will be raising money for those in Haiti- even if you are not in prime shape, please attend so that we make this a whole team effort. We are not requiring a certain amount of fundraising since we are not in season; however, we request that everybody try to raise money for this very worthy cause: 100% of donations will go to the Partners in Health Organization.
